Software Installation

WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO or:

To start the installation process, you first must download the DragOn Downloader app. That will download all the files you need to install both DragOn and the DragOn Core Library. Follow these steps:

1. From your purchase email, locate the links that say Windows Download or Mac Download and download the appropriate version.

2. Once downloaded, open the application.

3. In the Welcome screen, place the Download Code from your purchase email in the data box and click 'Verify'

4. Read and Accept the EULA by clicking 'I Agree'

5. Enter your name and email to register the software and press 'Confirm'

6. Decide where you want to download the files. NOTE - the button marked Serial Number is how you will authenticate your DragOn product, so either copy this now or at the end of the installation when it comes up again.

7. Click 'Install' to download your files

8. After the files are downloaded Exit the installer and locate your Mac or PC installer of the DragOn software.

9. Double click on that and follow the directions to install the software.

 

That completes the software installation process. Now you can move on to authenticating DragOn and installing the library with the instructions below.

Authenticate DragOn

To authenticate DragOn:

1. Open the DragOn software and you will see the authentication screen.

2. Fill out your email in the section for your email.

3. Place the serial number you received in the purchase email in area marked Serial.

4. Click the 'Authenticate' button and DragOn should give you a success screen for authentication.

Library Installation

1. After the install, locate the DragOn Core Library.dragonlib doc.

2. On a PC, place that file in C:\Users\Public\Music

On a Mac, place that file in Users/Shared/DragOn

3. Alternatively, you can define where you want DragOn libraries to reside in the DragOn setting. As long as the library file is in the area set in the settings, your library will load.

4. Open DragOn and navigate to the Library Menu

5. You should see the Dragon Core Library there.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I upgrade DragOn?

To upgrade DragOn after you have purchased a more advanced version of DragOn:

1. Open up the current version of DragOn you have

2. In the Patch Menu, and choose 'Register Upgrade' - This will bring DragOn back into Authentication Mode

3. Enter the new serial number you received from the upgrade email.

4. You'll received a success message and DragOn will be upgraded.

How do I update DragOn?

For instructions on updating DragOn, go to the Updates and Upgrades page on this site.

What DAW's will DragOn work in?

DragOn has been tested on:

- Abelton Live 10

- Abelton Live 11

- Logic
- Reaper
- FL Studio
- Cubase
- Studio One
- Fender Studio Pro
- Luna

 

We plan on making an AAX version of DragOn for ProTools in the near future.

When are new features going to become available?

When new features are made available for DragOn, we will email you with the free updates. Please make sure you click 'Subscribe' to receive these updates.

How can my company make libraries for sale on DragOn's marketplace?

We are currently seeking skilled 3rd party providers to create libraries for DragOn. If you are interested in your company's sample products to be made into DragOn Library, please use the Contact Form to email us infor on your sample library.

Can I suggest a feature for future versions of DragOn?

How can I report and issue I am having with DragOn to the DragOn Team?

How do I tell which version of DragOn I have?

To see which version of DragOn you are on:

1. Open DragOn.

2. Go to the 'About' in the Patch Menu.*

3. In the Waveform Window, your product version and version number will display.

4. Close the About window in the upper right hand corner

* If you do not see 'About' in the Patch Menu, you are on a version of DragOn that needs updating. Please update to the latest version.

Is there a refund policy on DragOn Sampler?

DragOn Sampler Software Return Policy

 

To be eligible for a refund, customers must request it within 30 days of the original purchase date and must have made a genuine effort to evaluate DragOn in good faith. 

 

Customers must first contact support regarding any technical issues, installation problems, or usage questions and allow a reasonable opportunity for assistance before a refund request will be considered. 

 

Refunds are available only for purchases made directly through the DragOn website, are limited to one per customer, and do not apply to short-term, temporary, or project-based use. 

 

We reserve the right to refuse refunds where misuse or abuse of this policy is suspected. 

 

Upon refund, the associated license will be revoked and continued use of the software is not permitted.

 

This guarantee applies only to DragOn software and expressly excludes DragOn libraries and any third-party libraries.

Is there a refund policy on DragOn Libraries?

DragOn Sound Library Refunds

 

All sound library sales are final. DragOn Sampler does not offer refunds, returns or exchanges on sound libraries. Once a sound library has been accessed on the server or by any other means, the order cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged or refunded.
